I would be lying if I said Boudoir shoots are never awkward. I mean most people are not use to posing in intimate or revealing clothing. Most of clients say the most nervous they get are walking from the parking lot to the studio, holy cow I’m really doing this!!! I promise you are in good hands and we will chat through hair and makeup, try on different looks from client wardrobe; I will be there to support and hype you up every step of the way. Ultimately, many people find boudoir shoots to be empowering and enjoyable experiences once they get past the initial nerves.
A few tips to minimize awkwardness:
- Communicate: We will talk beforehand about any concerns or specific poses you’d like to try. I want you to be as comfortable as possible. This includes temperature of studio, playlist.
- Choose a Comfortable Outfit: Wear something that makes you feel confident and comfortable.
- Relax and Breathe: Take deep breaths and relax your body to help ease tension.
- Focus on the Experience: Try to enjoy the moment. Focus on the fun of the shoot rather than the potential awkwardness.
